MISSION STATEMENT

The Modern Patriot is a protector of the Constitution and a friend of Liberty. He/she should continue to educate themselves on the Constitution and our shared history as Americans. He/she is an ambassador of good will. The Patriot demonstrates the core values of Integrity and Honor. The Patriot respects the rule of law and supports the government as described and enumerated in the Constitution. We will support the Constitution. We will not obey unconstitutional laws. To understand this commitment, we will learn and educate others on the Constitution. We will defend liberty. We will be peaceful in our endeavors but we will defend our liberty and our nation.

COMMUNITY IMAGE

Patriots come from all parts of America. From every State. Patriots are not racists. The Constitution demonstrates that we are all created equally. We are all equal. Patriots are not defined by a race or skin color. We are all Americans. We all share a common heritage. We are all defenders of liberty. The typical community image of the modern Patriot has been portrayed by the media as an angry "militia" member comprised of anti-government extremists and disgruntled, unkempt racists and or wide-eyed "nut jobs". This image is often reinforced by the actions of the few and often while claiming to represent the interests of a particular patriot organization.

To mitigate this and counter this gross misrepresentation of the patriot image, the state leader and the leaders of each of the zones will act quickly to correct any misrepresentation from their members. They must educate members as to the goals and image of the organization and must exercise discretion when participating in protests, rallies, demonstrations, or other actions.

To ensure participation properly represents state goals, zone leaders should inform zone members that all events should be authorized at the zone and state level. This ensures that there is no individual rogue event that is using the name of the organization that runs counter to organization interests. We must remember we are the defenders of the Constitution and we must be credible in our language, our manners, and our words.

Any member can propose participation in an event. This will be discussed and voted on at the zone level. It will then be presented to the Zone Leaders for approval. Any tie will be decided by the State Leader for approval or disapproval. The intent of this measure is NOT to restrict in any way. It is designed to ensure that whatever event participation carefully considers national image and conforms with organization goals.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Much of the image of the Modern Patriot is created by an agenda driven media. Every time a patriot makes a stand the tired old narrative is trotted out. Tactical clothing, partial military kit, and similar clothing reinforce that image. Consideration should be given to softening the image.

We should make every effort to speak at Veteran Organizations, Boy Scouts, etc. The topics DO NOT need to be a laundry list of current anti-constitutional actions by the government. It can and should be discussions of Liberty, the Constitution, and our revolutionary history. All historically important. All remain factual to our goals. Let the public form their opinions from listening to a short presentation of the Constitution. Be non-partisan in delivery. Discuss our common heritage. Ask for nothing except dialogue and open minds. Then ask them to support the candidates that are constitutionalists. Ask them to support our Constitution. Let them ask questions. Be sincere.

MEMBER INVOLVEMENT

To show solidarity, uniformity, and camaraderie, it is expected that members will join as many group activities and/or actions, in any form, as possible. It is essential to show a united front. It is imperative members be registered to vote. Involvement and change can be something as simple as a ballot. We are brethren of like-minded individuals with uniform goals.     As such, members will treat each other with the same dignity and respect that is expected by them. Likewise, it is the duty of fellow brothers and sister to not only be vigilant against external abuses but to have each other’s wellbeing in mind. Should a legitimate need arise, it is the responsibility of members to assist their fellow brothers and sisters in times of duress to the best of one's ability.

III%

The name "3 percenter” comes from the fact that only 3 percent of colonial British subjects took up arms against the King during the revolutionary war. Only 10% of the population supported the Three percent.

Three percent of the population was enough to overthrow the government of England and win independence.
